This post is a photo essay. My topic is a few places I have visited during my trip to Australia. The first picture is an airport, the second one is the Blue Mountain, the third and fourth ones are pictures of animals from a zoo, the fifth one is an aquarium, the sixth one is a sand slope and the last is of course the Opera House.

When I was 11, my family went to Australia in the fall, so apparently it was spring in there, so it was quite warm and everything was light greeny. This picture is the airport we arrived. I recall that is was quite big and new. I ordered a chocolate ice cream, which tasted the same as Korea, but the big difference was that I could get many scoops in one ice cream. I remember that I was proud because I spoke to a foreigner.

This is the famous Blue Mountain of Australia. Blue Mountain make a great view with the mountains and forests. The greatest view is on the picture, where there seems to be 3 divided part. It's called as the Blue Mountain, because it reflects bluish light. We were lucky, because we could see not only blue, but red and white mountain while we were touring there. The guide joked that we must have done good things before. Although it was just watching the nature, it wasn't boring but actually fascinating.

Along with the 4th picture, this photo is from an Australian zoo. Unfortunately, I can't remember the exact name of the zoo, but I really enjoyed it. There were a lot of unique Australian animals such as kangaroos, in this picture. They were so furry, but the worker of the zoo warned us to be careful, so I couldn't really stroke my hand, but only pat them. But I'm pretty sure they are soft as it seems to be. They smell like....animals....just animals.... but I assure you that it's not that bad.

Like the previous picture, it's a pic from the zoo. These koalas are one of my favorite kind of animals. I just regret so much that I couldn't cuddle one, but I'm sure that the fur is cozy, soft and gentle. They don't move a lot, and some of them were still sleeping, but they were all cute. There were a lot of different kinds of animals, but I'm posting these two pics of kangaroos and koalas, since they're the most famous kinds and I only have those pics :P

Obviously, this is an aquarium. Once again, unfortunately, I can't remember the exact name. There were a lot of marine animals, and of course sharks are the most I remember. But there's another reason why this aquarium is still stuck in my mind. The designer of this aquarium is the same designer of Busan Haeundae aquarium, and I live in Busan Haeundae. Well, not really close to it, but still in the same area. So apparently, I have been to two aquarium which was designed by one person.

This pic is a part of a desert in Australia. Australian desert is not something you would expect. The sand is really light and one molecule is really tiny, making the sand feel really soft and almost like liquid. On a slope, tourists can slide down the side like a slide with a board, and trust me. It's simply thrilling and so much fun. Awesome, cool, fantastic, and whatever optimistic positive adjectives. This is one of my favorite places I have visited.

Last but definitely not the least, the Opera House. Almost everyone goes there if the one is visiting Sydney. I always wanted to visit there, and one of my souvenirs is about it. The shape and the design of the building is very unique, like the peels of an orange or a shell, and really....artistic. We were able to go into the building but couldn't go into the hall of music, since we haven't reserved. But the fact that I visited there fulfilled my wish. (By the way, apology to my dad in the pic)

These are some of the pics from my trip to Australia. (Thank goodness I brought my extremely secretive and private USB to this camp) I really enjoyed the trip, and Australia itself, including the meat and salad. I wish I can go to other cities other than Sydney and other big cities.
